The Podium 2022 Planning Committee invites the submission of proposals for the presentation of Student Research Posters. A range of topics related to choral music will be considered, including (but not limited to) conducting and rehearsal strategies, choral/vocal music education, health and well-being, social justice, community music, choral repertoire, performance and artistic practices, composition, arts administration/management, interdisciplinarity of choral and other artistic forms, and applications of technologies in choral settings.
Presentations exploring promising research, as well as those inclusive of diverse singing traditions and practices, are highly encouraged. Choral Canada is particularly interested in proposals for presentations of research with a focus on indigeneity in choral music, non-western musical traditions, and new contexts for group singing.

IN PERSON and VIRTUAL Presentation Opportunities
In an exciting new development to our biennial conference, PODIUM 2022 will be presented in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual opportunities to connect members of the Canadian choral and group-singing communities. Research posters may be presented either in-person or virtually.
The in-person poster session will be 90 minutes in duration, taking place on Sunday, May 22nd . Presenters will be expected to be present with their poster during this time, to engage in conversation about their research with other delegates. Both in-person and virtual poster presentations will be made available on the Socio App platform throughout the conference and may be accessed by PODIUM delegates for an additional six months after the conference ends.
Choral Canada strongly encourages the submission of proposals from both Choral Canada Student Chapter members and non-members. Participation in the PODIUM conference and festival is an excellent opportunity for students to showcase previous and on-going research projects, while also networking with their peers and colleagues in the choral and group-singing communities.
